Update - July 28, 2020

Norfolk County staff put up the 4th net yesterday and removed the "10 people maximum" sign, so all courts are now in play.
Please follow all guidelines as posted below.

Update - July 14, 2020

Three courts are now available for use, and can accommodate up to 10 players at one time - 2 courts with 4 doubles players + 1 court with 2 singles players.

The fourth court will be opened once Norfolk County moves to Stage 3.

Please continue to organize your own games, as nothing is being organized by the PDTC. And if people are waiting to use the courts, please limit your games to one hour.

Update - June 15, 2020

Courts 1 & 4 are open for use - use their respective gates to access the appropriate court!

Current limit on the courts is 8 people at once.
Make up your own groups.... or show up to see if there's available space(s).
Nothing is organized at this time.

Port Dover Tennis Club Guidelines for Safe Return to Play - COVID-19 - May 21, 2020

The Port Dover Tennis Club has been notified by Norfolk County that the courts will be opened by the end of today (May 21). The PDTC will not be organising any activities at this time, players will have to organise their own matches.

All players should still follow all Provincial and local rules on social distancing and generally apply common sense in their use of the courts. Click the link below for the list of recommendations based on OTA guidelines with additional suggestions specific to the Port Dover courts.

Due to the corona virus closure of the courts (see March 31, 2020 notice below), the executive committee has unanimously agreed to waive payment of club membership dues for 2020.
The club has sufficient financial reserves to cover the needed cost of insurance for the year, and is attempting to get a rebate on the premiums paid.
If restrictions are lifted sufficiently to allow club functions, they will be funded on a pay as you go basis.
Hoping to see you on the courts later this year, in the meantime please stay safe and keep in touch with your tennis and other friends.
Norman Swain
President PDTC

We hope that you are all safe and well during this critical time and practicing Social Distancing.
The purpose of this notice is to communicate the impact of Covid-19 on our Tennis Club's activities.
Norfolk County has closed all recreational facilities, including our tennis courts. No adults or youths are permitted on any Norfolk Sports Complex property unless they are just "passing through".
Tennis insurance coverage will be in effective once the gates are unlocked by the County.
We will communicate further when we have more information.
Regards, and be safe.
Port Dover Executive Committee

4 beautiful courts, built in 2011, are located in the Port Dover Sports Complex.  The courts are just off St. George Street, at Alma Street, in behind the Port Dover Lions Community Centre, beside the Lakeside Elementary School.  Enter via the driveway to the Port Dover Lions Community Centre and park in behind (see map below).

The courts are used by the public, the elementary school and the tennis club.  The tennis courts are unlocked from morning till night.  The club has priority at specified times as listed below (Organized Play Times).
